At the time of the Cuban revolution on January 1, 1959, Cuba was the most media-saturated country in Latin America, with some 500,000 television sets. The techniques of advertising were appropriated for the revolution, and today slogans abound everywhere. Most conspicuous, in all parts of the country, is the image of Che Guevara.
