Garcia, Tammy
Acclaimed Santa Clara artist Tammy Garcia has artistry in her DNA. She comes from a long line of renowned potters from Santa Clara Pueblo with Sara Fina Tafoya, Margaret Tafoya, Christina Naranjo, Mary Cain, and Linda Cain in her family tree. Though well-versed in tradition - growing up surrounded by potters - today Garcia is on the forefront of innovation with her bronze sculpture and pottery, pushing the limits of both mediums. Garcia’s work is part of the permanent collections of important museums, including the Heard Museum, the Autry Museum, and the Denver Art Museum. The artist was also celebrated in a one-woman exhibit at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. If you have a Tammy Garcia work that you would like to sell, please contact us.
