Signed by the artist on the bottom. Signed Persingula M Gachupin. Gachupin specialized in traditional matte polychrome, black on white redware, and tanware Storytellers, figures, owls, Nativities, jars and bowls. Working with her daughter she was the first potter at Jemez Pueblo to produce Storytellers and Nativities. The pottery shows some signs of age and use, but overall is in good condition. There may be some minor fading or discoloration of the colors, and some minor surface imperfections. Ex collection, Arizona.
