Veryl Goodnight, NSS - Untamed

Untamed is a single horse figure from The Bachelor Band, one of Veryl's larger bronzes.

To create this particular figure, Goodnight studied videos of clashing stallions from the Spring Creek Wild Horse Management Area in Colorado.

The artist would repeatedly play video in slow motion to understand the horses' sequence of moves and to freeze the exact moment in time when the horse is in a half-rearing position.
